I have never been able to read my Google Reader, which is how I keep up with blogs, very well on my iPhone or my iPad and it has been frustrating for me.
I maintain this digital scrapbooking blogroll (which anyone can request to be added to and anyone can get the code to add to their own blog) and have many other blogs and feeds I follow in addition thereto, but most often they go unread.
Yes, Google does have their own phone view through the browser, but I have never been drawn to use it and only read when I have time to get into Google Reader online. If I get on once a week, I'm doing well! I get so much inspiration from my reader and wish I could visit it daily.

This is what Feeddler looks like when I read my tv blogs. All I see are the title and I have to click on each title to read more and then back out to get back to the list. I have way too many subscriptions to take time doing this. This is a similar experience to trying to read with the basic browser view offered by Google. Plus, there are ads taking up my screen.

My new favorite app is Newsify! It's awesome on both the iPhone and the iPad. I can click on individual blogs to read them and easily see how many unread posts.
In fact, when I am in the category (tag) view, I can actually see how many unread when the unread is over 1000! In Google Reader, I am only told that it is "1000+" which is frustrating for me not knowing the total damage. I included two images so you can see how I have mine categorized.

Or, I can choose a category and see a newsletter type of feed to browse title and images and select which articles I want to read. The circle button on the upper right with three dots in it allows me to mark all of a blog or category as read.

I like to star items to save them if I want to come back to them, especially when I have more time or are on my laptop.
The "eye" button keeps a post as unread. The button on the bottom right with the three blocks in it is the "share" button which allows me to share a post to twitter, facebook, and many other services, including evernote, instapaper, pinboard, tumbler, delicious, email, etc.)
I think that I might just be able to keep up with my Google Reader now!
Now I just need to add more feeds! Ah! Yes, it's my newspaper!
