I love Spring
I am not feeling well today and hope to be better tomorrow. I had a rough night.
Regardless, I could not hold myself back from going out and enjoying the beautiful sunshine today and working on the garden. There were so many dead leaves and dead branches everywhere that it took a lot of time. It looks SO much better now! Next we can start attacking the weeds and trimming things back before the warmer weather takes over on us, but that is another day. The helicopters are also ready to come down from the Maple trees and they are a lot of work to clean up too!
I've missed photos this year of so many of the things blooming in my yard. I need to get with it as I know many of my readers enjoy these photos.

I sat in my garden and imagined myself a soon to be empty nester. Soon it will be my garden that keeps me company. I must keep on giving it love.
This tulip was beautiful with the sun coming through its petals.

The hyacinth are my favorite because of their smell! I like the bright pink ones best, but this white one seemed to be showing off.

This tulip with the red tips on the yellow petals was so sophisticated like a rose would be. It seems to be out of its class.

Isn't gardening the greatest?!! I was outside, involved in similar activities; but my back had enough for a while, so I came into my computer to rest for a minute, and found out you'd been doing the same thing! It is so rare when the perfect day for working outside actually coincides with a day when I'm free to do this - it gives me such joy to plant things and nurture them and watch them grow - maybe because I'm already an empty-nester! One year on a lovely day like this, I told my older son that I was anxious to go outside and get my hands in the dirt. He looked at me pityingly and said 'Mom, I think it's still mud'! : )
Lovely! I am sorry you are not well but glad the garden helps. The rabbits ate my tulips to the ground. They are coming back but will not bloom this year.
Some LOVELY Spring photos here Hummie. Of course in my part of the world we are coming into autumn now.
Your garden looks like a relaxing place :) I love the raised bed. If only I wasn't allergic to everything with pollen! :::sigh::: The flower pictures are beautiful!!
Becky - the rabbits have actually not be munching on my tulips this year - so far.... LOL
We just started seeing green up here in Iowa.... My tulips are about 6 inches high.... and we are supposed to get snow today.... yuck.... LOL
