My Project 365 Template

I spent the evening making my own template to use for all of my weeks. I made mirror pages for a book, so as to use Template 1 the first week and Template 2 the second week, and then continue to rotate.

Many of the templates I have seen available have no journaling or unattached journaling which I feel is so important. I wanted each photo to have a corresponding place to journal.

I also wanted all 7 days on one page because 52 pages is going to be big enough. I wanted to use the same template each week, without the use of digital scrapbooking kits, to keep it simple and fun.







My plan is to take a photo that pictures things happening in my life, but not to take any photos of people. I always take photos of people, but not those little things in my life, often cropping out the setting. The title of my book is going to be "A Look of Life Around Me" or "Life Surrounding Me."

I am not going to get hung up on it being a photo taken on a certain day. If I take it a day late and it still represents that day or even near that day, it's good enough. Putting constraints on myself will only make it harder to keep up.

I am uploading each day to Flickr using the Flickr Uploader and using the description as my journaling. In this way, the photo and journaling are preserved together until I have time to put my page together.

Once uploaded, I take a moment to comment on a few of the other photos in the digi-Project 365 group, but am not taking much time for that. A few a day is good just to see what others are doing and in hopes of commenting in return for their comments on mine.

I plan on getting a Shutterfly book or a Blurb book when I'm done at the end of the year.

My book is an 8 x 8 book and my journaling is in 10 point. I am sharing the template with you, but if you plan to do a larger size, you will need to enlarge the template before adding your photos. The book has at least a .5 inch border in hopes that it will work well with Shutterfly.
