Followers in Blogger/101 Goals in 1001 Days

My I-want-her-to-be-my-daughter has started a new blog. She is encouraging everyone to make 101 goals, post them on your blog, and complete them in 1001 days! What a great idea!

I am wondering if there is some way I can just incorporate that into this blog rather than creating yet another blog. Hmmm. Maybe running list?

Maybe numbered list at the bottom of my posts indicating goals not yet completed? Yep, that's what I think I will do. See below.

While at her blog, I noticed something new in her sidebar. You can sign up through Blogger to be a "Follower" of her blog. If you choose the first option, it will show up in her sidebar that you are following her.

I think that is kind of cool! Now we can see who is following/reading our blogs and go to their blogs to read them! It really is a great idea to develop a sense of community, isn't it?

So, I clicked through and became her follower. Then I went to my dashboard and scrolled down and there it was!

You can add other blogs right through this area even if they do not have the widget in their sidebar. It is a built in RSS reader right in your Blogger account!

I read more about it on this page. I discovered that when you add it to this area of your dashboard, it also adds it to your Google Reader, so this should be something one is aware of. This page also explains how to stop following someone, either through the widget on the blog or the dashboard.

I thought it was so cool that I tried to add it to this blog. What a disappointment!

It is not available for me yet.

I tried to log into Beta Blogger to see if I could add it that way, but Beta Blogger now redirects me to my regular blogger account. Did they do away with Beta Blogger?

101 Goals? Yikes, I'm working on one major one at the moment. I will keep watching your goals transform into reality. It will be inspiring. :)

Wow! Love the info you've given here. Been blogging for only about 3 months so anything I can learn is great! I believe that goal setting works and this would help you be accountable....hmmm, maybe I'm not quite ready for this. LOL!
