Have you ever tried to make an element go both over and under another element, only to find that the drop shadow was annoying!
Here is the answer in this instance on my particular layout. Of course, as you will see, I was able to just cut away another section. However, at other times you may not be able to cut away and will have to carefully delete the shadow with either the magic erasure or other selection tools.

Thank you so much for this video! Besides learning the technique you are teaching, I'm wondering is this is why sometimes shadowed items make blurry edges when I used them as a mask...
