Mother's Day
My Mother's Day did not start off so well. Really? I've got 4 men!
Then it quickly turned bright when my son arrived home from college early because he drove all night and even brought me flowers and a card! At least one of them thought and planned. I gave him lots of hugs and will remember his thoughtfulness for a long time. I may even have to tuck that card away for sentimental value.
We did go out to eat together as a family before the other son had to go off to work. It was a nice dinner together. The weather was windy and cold and messed up our other plans. I did buy some things for myself on Saturday. I bought this great basket to organize all the books that tend to come to my bedside for use by my laptop and reading. It always feels good to get organized.
However, often my Mother's Day gift is to have my men devote their time to me in planting flowers in the garden. So, I purchased a lot of flowers and other things for the garden and we did not even get to work on it due to the weather. Now, I have a huge task ahead of me for this week. Oh well. It is supposed to be beautiful today. I will share photos of the new flowers and stuff as I get to it this week. We did get a new mailbox put up though. That took them quite a while.
I got to finish the day off with the Survivor finale! Wasn't it one of the best seasons ever? I never dreamed that Parvati would win. I felt Cirie was the most deserving. She mostly controlled the entire game. All the blindsides and twists and turns this season made it awesome. How about the next season in Africa?!! It should be cool! I'll be watching for spoilers and posting the in the forum as I have time!
Have a great week, everyone!

Quite a while ago I decided to just think of mother's day for our parents. I've been a lot happier since then ;) I remember one year my younger daughter bought a card and made a special stop to go see... her boyfriend's mother. And he was a schmuck. ::sigh:: Glad one of your boys came through for you (and don't give up, this year I got lots of love, and even got an email from the new boyfriend (who is a doll). See, it can happen!
Can't wait to see your flowers! I finally bought a few yesterday and now I am in 'gardeners paradise". ;o)
Belated happy mother's day Hummie!
Our weather was terrible as well, just wanted to curl up in a ball all day and sleep. Albeit it didn't help that our company had it's annual bash and we didn't get off the train until 2:30 in the morning! Im to old for that!
