The Church of Oprah --What's that got to do with Kool-aid

Someone shared this with me and I felt compelled to post it just so that others can become aware. I am going to refrain from saying anything about it myself in a public avenue. There are also plenty of "related" videos that can be found on the topic on YouTube.

And to think "The Big Give" is......yeah..I'm not saying what I think here.

9 WARM FUZZIES--comments SO appreciated!:

Everyone has their own thinking. That's what makes the world go round. I don't discuss politics or religion. I like to keep my thoughts to myself on those subjects. Just a personal thing I guess. Loved the video though. It gave me yet another perspective on religion. Thanks for sharing :)

Wow - I enjoy her show and think it should stick subjects other than religion and politics - to me those are personal choices.

Thank you so much for posting this. I am aware of how dangerous this book is. Now we see how it has deceived so many....with Oprah's help.....scary and sad......

I asm touching it right now. Before Christianity was established in this world there were various religions. One Pharoah believed in the concept of the One using the sign of the fish. Jesus was a Jew. Can we say that because he was of the Jewish Faith that we should not recognize him as the son of God? This world is made of various cultures and faith. Let's clean our own houses first and then if we are truly without sin, then let us try to cast the first stone. I saw this broadcast and this is showing owning a part of what was said. I remember when Bush was reelected. Many said they voted for him because of his faith. Well, what faith that follows the concept of Jesus says that you must be a war monger. Why can't we discuss religion, race, or politics. If we don't we are in a terrible conflict. Remember, Jesus went out and ministered to the homeless, the so called harlot, in otherwords what many today consider the undesirable. Chaney told a Jewish reporter that until she turned against her faith she was doomed. Since when did he died on the cross and ascended into heaven. I firmly believe that the life that you live here on Earth and how you treat your fellowman means more than saying that you are of a particular faith and then ostracize others who are of different beliefs. The God I serve is a just God and will forgive us our sins if we are truly mean it and will try to stay on the right path. My family is composed of Catholic, Baptist, and Old World, what we would call Athiests. My daughter-through-marriage is a wonderful, warm, and loving person. She tries to live the life as a Mother, wife, and daughter. I would take her at any time instead of these so called Christian who in an instant will call everyone else, sinners unless they believe in their chosen faith. This is not said in anger at anyone, but only stating facts as I see them. I am the least of them and will not choose to call anyone, that is of a known cult, who do not serve my god. My God does not tell anyone to war on them without cause, unless they have attacked us first. Remember WW1 that started against Germany and then against Japan because we were attacked. Our country did not have the weapons of war that we have now. Oh, I forgot to mention, that although our children and husbands are dying in a foreign country, this is not officially designated as a war. So who is say what about anyone. I do know that Oprah left the church in Chicago when the minister started his irresponsible rage against other. To me, and I am a Black African American, a member of a Baptist Church. In all my years, even during the Civil Rights Movement that I was i nvolved in, did I ever hear such trash coming from a pulpit. We have an old saying, that minister are supposed to be called by God, but so many of our political ministers are called by themselves. To me it was an enjoyable and knowledgeable Oprah show, maybe because I viewed the entire program and not inflammable portions to incite a negative response from so many. I agree with Chrisa in "that religion is a personal choice," but I would like to know why it is something that so many will not discuss. WHY!!!
