You know you live in Missouri if...
You know you live in Missouri if the weather is totally different every day.
Sunday--I was out in the yard doing work wearing shorts in 72 degree sunny weather.
Monday - It rained ALL day.
Tuesday - Ice Storm
Wednesday - Overcast and 40 degrees--everything melting.
Thursday - Sun is shining and signs of Spring abound, only to turn to snow showers by nightfall.
Friday - No school --too much snow.
I was so excited on Thursday to spot my first Spring robin! Yep, March 6th is now documented as my first siting of a Spring Robin. I grabbed my cell phone camera and snapped a photo of the bird. I always take a photo of my first Spring robin sighting. I peaked at my photos from 2007 and noted the date of March 10th. Hmmm..pretty close to the same date!
I turned around and spotted my first Spring flower! The crocus bulbs are peaking above the ground and ready to bloom.
Ooops....so sad! --only to snow the next day and cover them up. Sigh.

4 WARM FUZZIES--comments SO appreciated!:
Know what you mean, Hummie, we had spring last Sunday and got hit Tuesday and Wednesday and were supposed to have a major snowstorm starting this afternoon into tomorrow - hopefully this will be the last one! Haven't seen a robin here yet but the daffodils are (were) coming up!
Sounds like New England too. Rainstorm tonight and saturday with flooding , a few days past ice and snow , looking forward to spring .
Guess your closet got a good workout during this time, going from spring to winter to tropical rainforest to artic region! Tonight in Georgia we had 65 degree weather, tornado warnings tonight and snow forecast for tomorrow morning. It's that roller-coaster time of year isn't it.
Ernie
Spring? Oh is it here?? I spend way too much time when not working, in front of the computer instead of outside enjoying... like your week of weather...to read that is! Would not want to be the receiver of all of those forms of moisture!
