What to Count

Don't count how many years you've spent, Just count the good you've done; The times you've lent a helping hand, The friends that you have won. Count your deeds of kindness, The smiles, not the tears; Count all the pleasures that you've had, But never count the years! Author Unknown

Amazing quote; Very inspirational. I'm one who goes back and looks at how many years I've lived and realised that I have done much.

The words and meaning of this poem are so beautiful and uplifting. I used it on a 90th birthday layout for one of my sisters. When doing the layout I wanted to credit the author and found a number of sites that list Emilie Barnes as the author. I could never find out for sure if it is the well-known Christian book author Emilie Barnes or another person with the same name.
