New Shows - Season Pass on Tivo (& the Football Channel)
I am getting so frustrated with football games going into overtime and not staying in their own timeslot. It messes up my tivo recordings of my favorite shows and I only get to see a small amount of the show as everything the entire rest of the evening is delayed!
My hubby said that we needed a Football Channel and he is SO right! Why isn't there a football channel? I guess some of the problem is that the games air at the same time so they need several channels to air them. Shaking head. There would be plenty of off season review shows and replays of games for a Football Channel. We have a Food Channel, why not a Football Channel? The guys would love it!
I'm also frustrated with my empty tivo due to the writer's strike. I sit down and there's nothing to watch.
I'm excited that these shows will be premiering soon and am ready to set my tivo season pass! At least we can have reality tv during writer's strikes.

I always make sure to pad for an extra hour and a half on the football games so that I don't miss the end of the game. I'm not sure that this helps with your own scheduling problems, but at least you can see the end of the game :)
As far as finding new shows go, the writers strike has hit my TiVo pretty hard too, but I have a wishlist for the term Pilot and it shows you when cable channels go into a repeat loop. A year ago I used the tag to find the pilot episode of Xfiles and was able to watch the whole series in order off of TNT. I think XFiles is reairring again, but the shows that I've set up new (to me) season pass for have been The District, The 4400 and Without A Trace. They may be reruns, but if I can see them in their original order, its like watching new TV for me.
I love Tivo! I couldn't live without it. Yeah it's very aggravating when it cuts a show off because it went over. Life events are terrible. Worst of all... when your at the end of the show and it says stay tuned for next weeks preview then it cuts off. Hate that!!
I have my timer set up to tape (nothing so fancy as Tivo around here LOL) until 8:30 so that I can catch the end of Amazing Race. The other thing is I put the kids to bed by 7:30 so I can see where the show is and if I need to change my timer.
I'm looking forward to American Gladiators and I recently saw something that Amy Sherman-Palladino (the creator of Gilmore Girls, which is my current "not on TV anymore" obsession) has a new show coming out and I might give it a shot. I also might watch the new Survivor, which is fans vs favorites so that might be good.
Other than that, the spring season of tv looks pretty sad, with none of my fall shows coming back (I need House back because it is the best show still on TV) and everything that is starting being reality.
