Making PSE Use Less RAM

There are several methods you can utilize to make Photoshop Elements use less RAM. As in my Plug-ins Tutorial recommendations, it is best not to install all of the plug-ins permanently. My tutorial shares a way to put .8bf files in a separate folder (one that can be backed up) and how to temporarily keep them from loading by using the tilde character (~) in the front of folders or file names.

I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that Photoshop Elements also comes with pre-installed filters. Take a moment to evaluate which pre-installed filters you do not use and keep them too from loading using the tilde character (~).

Hello Hummie Dear, I hope the holiday was sweet to you as you were surrounded by your wonderful and loving family. (I can say it was wonderful for me also. My granddaughter gave me what I wanted, she gave me cash. I just love her, she was my first grand as well as my churchgoing partner for many years. I got her a Farberware Slow Cooker because she upgraded all her cookware. That's my Chemist and Pharmacist.) Thanks for the wonderful hint on PSE. I had deleted them, which is the worst way, from my computer, and then moved others in another folder--I know better. Double DUH!! So I will do your way which is so much easier and organized. Again, Love to you and Everyone. Wasn't expected an email, but always glad to hear from you and yours.
