Truth in Taglines
I just had to smile when my almost 17 year old son says to me last night,
Years ago I made a deal with the boys. If they would accept a bunch of candy equal to the cost of what I would spend on their costumes, then they would no longer dress up (and get candy without having to walk for it). I guess they expect the deal to last until they move out.
"Mom, we don't have any candy to hand out at the door. Aren't we going to get some candy to hand out......{pause}......and for us?"

I have a 17 yr old son too. Amzing how they are still our little boys. :)
Ha ha, I did that same thing with my kids. I let them pick out what candy they wanted and They were totally fine with it. Well that was about Jr High. Now that our son has moved home he thinks I should get him some candy this year! lol (ya I did) I am such a sucker for my kids!
I've got news for you Hummie. Family traditions like that don't just end when they move out. Be prepared.
Who doesn't want candy :) I heard a thing about 90% of parents get into their kid's candy and I was thinking "that doesn't seem right, must be 10% of parents are lying" I've taken candy out of the stash from last night :)
