Hummie's Basics - Staples (Freebie & Tutorial)
Here is the folder at Fotki where you can find the staples. Just right click on each staple and "save as," but make sure it says it is a .png.
I also wrote a tutorial on how to create staples.
I cannot believe I have never made a staple before. I am trying hard not to get distracted by other creating and to work toward teaching myself how to create the basic elements. This will help me make better mini-kits.
You will note that the staples progressively get better in the Fotki folder. That is because as I practiced and thought, I got better. However, I felt even the first staples were unique and give a different feel to a page, so I shared them, but if you want the better staples, head for the last ones in the folder.

13 WARM FUZZIES--comments SO appreciated!:
You ROCK! Although I don't design, I like your tuts and anytime anyones asks about digital scrapbooking, I point them to you. You have the most concise and easy to follow instructions I've ever seen! Thanks for all your hard work
I always use Kathy Moore's silver staple, because it's so realistic and I've never found such realistic staples... until now! Not only silver, but other colors, too! Thanks!!! :)
Thanks for the staples and arrows Hummie! Have a great day!
Thanks so much for the tutorial and the staples!!
Thanks for the staple tutorial. Mine needed some tweaking. Now I know what they were missing.
Thank you for the staples. I enjoy your art. You always make the greatest things and share!
great staples, they are a must have 'staple'I use them almost on every page, and it is great to have different kinds, thanks so much! :)
Thank you for the tutorial and the staples. You really are wonderful to share your talents and goodies. We all appreciate and love you.
Thank you for the variety of staples!
Thank you... for both the tutorial and the staple images. Very useful! I always want to learn from the basics.
Hummie, you are just such a thoughtful, generous, creative, and sweet person for not only giving freebies, but for the tutorials, the reviews (such as of recent experiences with PSE 6.0, which I just got for my anniversary, was upgrading from 3.0 just like you, I think.)
You are creating a great resource, and YOU are a great resource, for and of inspiration, kindness, creativity, what can be done when one has an idea, purpose, and intention of what one wants to do, be, give, share, create, etc.
Thank you, Hummie. So much.
Oh, and to do the basics such as this, AND, to bravely include your first efforts, which I DO think have their own look to add when it is the right touch for what one is doing, and to see YOUR progression, in the freebie, and learn from that, alongside using your tutorial . . . . that is one reason I admire you.
