Life with My Man/Men

Round 15323432 began 2 to 3 months ago.

Husband entered the ring while washing a glass pitcher (because the household now uses water bottles and the pitcher does not get used -- see previous post on new drinking system).

Wife entered the ring declaring that the glass pitcher still had tea stains on it and needed to be bleached. Husband ducked and agreed to rewash it.

The pitcher took a time-out on the edge of the sink.

Wife took approximately 20 swings declaring that the pitcher was still not washed (over the next two to three months).

Husband ducked, declaring that he would get it done (ducking for two to three months with each of Wife's swings).

Wife relents. Husband wins.

Wife gets the bleach bottle and washes the pitcher. While putting it away, she asks:

W: Why didn't you wash the pitcher?

H: I don't know?

W: But you have told me at least 20 times you would?

H: I don't know?

W: As usual, you were probably just trying to get on my nerves, because you like to see me angry. What other excuse could there be? How could you not see the pitcher on the sink for the past 2 or 3 months? How could you not remember when I reminded you at least 20 times? Why didn't you wash it?

H: I really do not know the answer.

W: Are you really that non-observant? Or is it too much to walk downstairs to get the bleach? Why didn't you wash it?

H: I really do not know the answer. (still calm)

W: This is great blog material.
