Add to Selection (in PSE)

Today I would like to direct your attention to the "Add to Selection" button in PSE.

This tool is available in the first three selection tools in the toolbar on the left hand side of your screen.

When this option is selected, each time the mouse is dragged on the desktop, it adds and merges with the previous selection.

For instance, I made this snowman shape very quickly using this tool. I drew three circle shapes overlapping each other to obtain the snowman shape.

To get the texture on my snowman, I filled a new layer above the snowman shape with a pattern (edit drop down menu, fill layer, use: pattern, wax crayon) and then reduced the opacity to almost nil

I quickly added two buttons and drew the smile and the nose with a hard brush. So easy! (but I think he needs twig arms)

Have fun! I would love to read comments regarding other shapes that you have made with the "add to selection" feature.
